OVERLAND PARK, Kan. Johnson County Community College (赌钱app可以微信提现) is one of 156 colleges and universities around the world honored by Exercise is Medicine®, a global health initiative managed by the American College of Sports Medicine, for its efforts to create a culture of health and wellness for students. Through the work done by several areas of campus, 赌钱app可以微信提现 earned gold level designation for 2022 from the Exercise is Medicine® On Campus (EIM-OC) program.

赌钱app可以微信提现 launched its Student Wellness program in 2015 after multiple student surveys, including an American College Health Association Healthy Campus survey, identified the need for student wellness and physical activity-based initiatives. The program’s goal is to build a cohesive campus community for students by promoting health and wellness to further academic success. Student Wellness, part of 赌钱app可以微信提现’s Health & Wellness Department, offers students complimentary access to the on-campus Barbara Gill Lifetime Fitness Center, group fitness classes, fitness assessments, personal training, and wellness programs throughout the semester.

“This is a very distinguished honor for our Student Wellness program, our Health and Wellness Department and for 赌钱app可以微信提现,” said Lori Mallory, Director of Health and Wellness at 赌钱app可以微信提现. “Dr. Tina Pulley, Adjunct Faculty, Health & Wellness, has been instrumental in growing our student wellness on campus and bringing attention to the importance of a student’s mental and physical well-being. The College has been very proactive in offering these services to students as part of their comprehensive education at 赌钱app可以微信提现.”

EIM-OC urges universities and colleges around the world to promote physical activity and encourages faculty, staff and students to work together to improve the health and well-being of the campus community. Of the 156 campuses recognized this year, only three other community colleges earned gold. All 2022 college and university award recipients were officially recognized on June 1 as part of the 2022 Exercise is Medicine World Congress event, held in conjunction with the American College of Sports Medicine’s annual meeting.

“We are thrilled to recognize these campuses’ commitment to make movement a part of daily campus culture and give students the tools to cultivate physical activity habits that will benefit them throughout their lives,” said Robyn Stuhr, Vice President of Exercise is Medicine®.

赌钱app可以微信提现’s student health and wellness efforts will be officially celebrated each year, as President Dr. Andy Bowne has declared the month of October as Exercise is Medicine on Campus month.
